Love is always blind. We don’t ever choose who we love. It’s like that saying, “We never attract what we want. We attract who we are.”
If we don’t understand ourselves, then we’ll be attracting a lot of toxicity.
It’s not that love is like choosing between a poisoned apple and a sweet apple. We simply go for the one we feel is right. Though, if that happens to be the poisoned one, perhaps we need to retreat we reaffirm ourselves.
Love is a war… or a battlefield, as some song stated. Sometimes, we leave our hearts on that battlefield, because we’ve died for enough.
If that war is about taking a risk, which a war always is about, then nothing about love will be a shield to block the other person away. Though… it is true that we block a person from causing harm.
I like to compare love to a war, because love is about protecting those we can trust, versus destroying or escaping from those who would cause harm.

Well just that one kid in it was like the innocent hearted one… and they were trying to tell him not to lose that innocence… stay golden…. and then the movie also says nothing stays golden forever, lol.
