All about love

I’d Still Choose You

I always told myself that I am invincible
Then you were gone, I was left miserable
Look at me, having the greatest heartache
I guess setting you free is a huge mistake

Nevertheless, I’d still choose you
My happiest days are the ones spent with you
I’d still choose you to be right next to me
I’d choose you even until the next eternity

You were the best I’ve ever had
Everyday, I still miss you so bad
Bear in mind, I love you very big
And deeper than anyone can ever dig

Thank you so much Jude! I always appreciate your insights 😊😊😊

Love is the mistake we make in dropping our guard. Though, dropping our guard must be done, so that we can love, so that we can open our doors to them, so that they are embraced and not treated as an outsider.

Your poem made me think of that. I once read the words, “To be loved is a greater risk than to be feared.” I’ve always repeated those words, to this day.

Remember the first, because it won’t be the last. There’s a saying, “You’ll know when you find it,” and it makes much sense alongside your poem. Too many people are lost in themselves, lost in their own heartaches, and due to that, they find themselves unable to stretch the wings they never knew they had.
